I started writing poetry in my 75th year, after a lifetime of writing-- mostly for others and mainly for pay. During my career, every so often, a series of words that I wrote would sound poetic to me, and I would smile inwardly. Invariably, someone in the editing chain, a colleague or client, would excise them for not conforming to newspeak or corporatespeak. These writings do not have the burden or benefit of an editor, which I may come to regret.
As I have pursued my poetry adventure, I have attracted some kindred spirits from the family, who have decided to try their hands at writing. One of them is my granddaughter Riley Williams. Some of her poetry is included as well. She is a senior in high school.
You'll see that some of my poems are categorized as NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens. Here is a good explanation. In theory, you can buy and sell one of my NFT poems. I'll make money if you do,and (again theoretically) you'll make money if and when you re-sell it.
